Launch of the MHM FinTech Platform Project

Mori Hamada & Matsumoto (“MHM”) is proud to announce the launch of its MHM FinTech Platform Project.  Using the firm’s years of experience advising on start-ups, as well as its wealth of legal expertise in the fields of finance, dispute resolution, IT, investment funds, and M&A, the goal of the project is to establish a platform upon which the firm can support the development and advancement of the FinTech ecosystem on a legal and transactional basis.  We believe this project will certainly enable the firm to better support start-ups, financial institutions and other FinTech players with their enterprise strategies.

⇒ Special Report: The MHM FinTech Platform

As of today, there are over 40 lawyers at MHM participating in the project including those who previously were seconded to the Financial Services Agency of Japan and held key positions at financial institutions and venture capital firms.  Through the MHM FinTech Platform, we can provide clients with comprehensive, integrated services: business start-up, investment counseling, open innovation initiatives, fundraising, compliance, licensing, documentation, auditing support, and crisis management.  The platform also extends support for strategic overseas business expansion by closely liaising with MHM’s offices across Asia.

Through this project, MHM would like to contribute to the FinTech community not only in Japan but globally as well.  We at MHM are committed to this goal and look forward to working with everyone to foster innovation through the MHM FinTech Platform.
