Thomson Reuters has announced the results of DEALWATCH AWARDS 2016, and the following four deals in which the firm acted in received awards.

• the global IPO of Kyushu Railway Company, in which the firm acted as counsel of the issuer and the selling shareholder, received the award “IPO of the Year,” and Kyushu Railway Company received the award “Issuer of the Year”.
• Recruit Holdings Co.,Ltd., which conducted a global follow-on public offering of the shares of common stock in which the firm acted as counsel of the issuer and certain selling shareholders, received the award "Equity Issuer of the the Year".
• An issuance of US dollar-denominated senior notes by Japan Tobacco Inc., in which the firm acted as issuer's counsel, received the award "Offshore Bond of the Year".
• A domestic issuance of senior notes by Yahoo Japan Corporation, in which the firm acted as issuer's counsel, received the award "Debut Debt Deal of the Year".
