MHM ranked 10th in the sixth FT Asia-Pacific Innovative Lawyers Awards 2019, and received high commendation for its work in accessing new markets and capital

The Financial Times published its sixth annual Asia-Pacific Innovative Lawyers Report on 3 May 2019.  Mori Hamada & Matsumoto was ranked 10th in the list of “FT Most Innovative Law Firms 2019 (Asia-Pacific Headquartered)”, making it the only Japanese law firm to be ranked among the top 10 six years in a row.  In the Report, we received high commendation for our capital markets work in developing rights issues in Japan over the last six years.  We also received commendations for our three submissions in the FinTech space – the establishment of MHM Lab to test data sharing between established companies and start-ups, Coincheck’s acquisition by Monex, and a joint venture between Line Financial Asia Corporation Limited and Kbank to form Kasikorn Line Company in Thailand (the first ranking for Chandler MHM Limited in FTIL!)

Having long been part of the legal landscape in Europe and North America, the Asia-Pacific Report has now established itself as a trusted guide to the profession in Asia-Pacific.
