Message from Mr. Shoichi Niwa

I am honored to be joining Mori Hamada & Matsumoto Nagoya Office.

After qualifying as an attorney in December 2010, I sought to improve my knowledge in a broad range of areas, including corporate governance, M&A, crisis management, litigation and disputes, and labor cases, for more than four years at the law firm Tanabe & Partners. After spending two years from April 2015 on secondment to the legal department of Japan Finance Corporation, where I was engaged in legal practice involving corporate law, exclusion of antisocial forces, protection of personal information, compliance, and other matters, I then engaged in consultation services in a variety of fields, including corporate finance, shareholders meetings, and takeover bid defense measures, for two and a half years from April 2017 in the Stock Transfer Agency Business Department of Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, Limited.

At Mori Hamada & Matsumoto Nagoya Office, I intend to take advantage of the multi-faceted experience I have already gained practicing as an attorney while also enhancing my expertise and problem-solving abilities in order to offer insightful advice to our clients.
