Daisuke Tsuta joins Mori Hamada & Matsumoto

Message from Mr. Tsuta

I am honored to be joining Mori Hamada & Matsumoto.

After being admitted as an attorney in December 2010, I worked as an attorney at law firms in Osaka for about 3 years, assisting a variety of clients, including companies listed on the first sections of stock exchanges, small and medium-sized enterprises, and individuals.

I then served as a national public employee for about six years in various ministries and agencies. My first post as a national public employee was as Legal Affairs Auditor at the Kinki Local Finance Bureau of the Ministry of Finance, where I was engaged in legal affairs concerning issues arising within the Bureau (such as those relating to the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act, financial business laws, national government asset laws and regulations, and accounting laws and regulations).

My next post was as Vice Director of the Information Disclosure and Personal Information Protection Promotion Office, the Administrative Management Bureau of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, and was heavily involved in work related to privacy and personal information protection legislation and information disclosure legislation through drafting related to amendments to the Act on the Protection of Personal Information Held by Administrative Organs and the like.

After that I served as Senior Cybersecurity Analyst at the National center of Incident readiness and Strategy for Cybersecurity) of the Cabinet Secretariat where I was heavily involved in cybersecurity-related work, and was responsible for drafting related to revisions to the Basic Act on Cybersecurity and investigating and examining cybersecurity-related laws and regulations.

At Mori Hamada & Matsumoto I look forward to leveraging my experience to date as an attorney, as well my experience working in areas relating to finance, privacy, and cybersecurity, and will dedicate myself completely to further enhancing my expertise through continued professional development, while striving to provide outstanding service to our clients.
