Message from Mr. Kensuke Oki

I am honored to be joining Mori Hamada & Matsumoto.

After qualifying as an attorney in December 2015, I worked as In-house Counsel in the Legal Department of The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ (currently MUFG Bank).  I then joined Baker & McKenzie (Banking & Finance practice group) in September 2017, and worked there for about three years. 　At both of my previous workplaces I had the opportunity of providing legal advice for projects and transactions involving issues with application of cross-border law.  I also handled numerous domestic and international renewable energy projects (on both the lender side and project operator side), particularly at Baker & McKenzie.  In addition, I have experience in providing multifaceted advice on financial regulations, both from within and outside a financial institution.

I believe that the true value of an attorney is manifested through an accumulation of experience.  At Mori Hamada & Matsumoto I look forward to dedicating myself to ensuring our clients’ business success, by leveraging the varied experience I have gained to date and further developing my professional knowledge.
