The firm is implementing the following measures in response to the global spread of COVID-19.

■ Working from home arrangements

In response to the global spread of COVID-19, the firm has decided to implement certain measures in some of our offices overseas and in Japan, including the Tokyo Office, such as reducing the number of staff who work in the office.

The firm has established systems to ensure that all our lawyers and staff in Japan and overseas are able to continue their operations in a secure manner at home, so that we may seamlessly continue to provide services to our clients.

Due to this situation, it may not be possible to contact our offices by telephone, so please contact the person you are trying to contact directly by email or the like if you know their contact details.

Likewise, we may not be able to promptly confirm other correspondence such as postal mail and faxes.  We ask for your understanding in advance, and ask that you directly contact the person in charge for urgent matters.
 

■ Measures Concerning MHM Seminars

MHM Seminars held at venues will be canceled or postponed until further notice.  However, we will continue to hold seminars through webinars and on-demand services and the like, and so we ask that you confirm the details thereof in our notices.

In the event of cancellation or postponement of any MHM Seminar, we will provide notice to that effect on the seminar website and will also email registered participants individually.

■ No face-to-face meetings

We are continuing not to hold face-to-face meetings, in principle, with clients and other people for the immediate future, and instead we are conducting meetings remotely via means such as web conferencing and teleconferencing.
 

■ Response to COVID-19 cases within the firm

During the COVID-19 pandemic we have been posting notices on our website each time a case of COVID-19 was confirmed within our firm, however, as the need for this has decreased, from November 2021 we will no longer post such notices. In the event a case of COVID-19 is confirmed within the firm in the future, we will continue to take necessary measures, such as identifying people who have had contact with such member in the office and suspending their attendance at work, disinfecting as necessary, and individually contacting any people outside the firm that such member had close contact with during work.
