We apply our expertise and experience in this highly technical field to provide comprehensive legal services for derivatives transactions, including in structuring complex derivatives products; preparing master agreements, confirmations, and collateral documents; and advising clients on new derivative products, such as credit derivatives, total return swaps, earthquake derivatives, and weather derivatives.
In recent years, laws and regulations applicable to derivatives have been changing across multiple jurisdictions. We have experience in advising on multi-jurisdictional issues arising in cross-border transactions and the extraterritorial application of laws and regulations. We closely liaise with other leading law firms in relevant jurisdictions, taking advantage of our overseas offices and strong global network with international and regional law firms.
We also represent clients in litigation and alternative dispute resolution matters relating to derivatives, often handling issues involving defaulted counterparties and compliance with solicitation rules for derivatives.
