Bar Association Activities
Lawyers at the firm actively engage in activities with bar association committees and serve as court appointed defense counsel and duty attorneys. Many of our lawyers have served in senior positions with the Japan Federation of Bar Associations and other bar associations. In addition, the firm is enthusiastic in participating in training lawyers to be assigned to legal aid firms and the Japan Legal Support Center.

■ Positions and Committees
Many lawyers at the firm have served in positions with and participate in committees of bar associations, supporting the pro bono activities of the bar associations.
■ Court Appointed Defense Counsel and Duty Attorneys
Lawyers at the firm actively serve as court appointed defense counsel and duty attorneys for defendants and suspects in criminal cases.
■ Legal Aid Firms and the Japan Legal Support Center
The firm regularly takes on lawyers to be assigned to legal aid firms and the Japan Legal Support Center. The firm then sends these lawyers to areas experiencing a shortage of lawyers once they have accumulated experience in various legal services including general legal advice and criminal defense.
