Indonesia Practice

We provide broad legal support for clients conducting business in Indonesia based on our deep understanding of the legal environment and business practices in Indonesia

We have been advising clients in respect of Indonesian matters since the Asian financial crisis in 1997. To understand legal practices in Indonesia, a thorough knowledge of many local business practices is necessary. Our broad range of work in Indonesia includes general corporate transactions, M&A, joint ventures, asset acquisitions, real estate transactions, licensing negotiations with various government offices including the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), establishing compliance systems for Indonesian subsidiaries, and resolution of litigation and disputes relating to employment or business transactions.

We have several lawyers with prior experience working in leading law firms in Indonesia and have lawyers from Indonesian firms seconded at our firm. Our firm has developed a strong network of relationships with the leading Indonesian law firms, enabling us to assemble the appropriate team to advise our clients in accordance with the nature and scale of the matter.
