Singapore Practice

We offer a broad range of advice for corporations and regional management companies conducting business in Singapore

In early 2012, we were among the first Japanese law firms to open an office in Singapore, and our Singapore Office has grown rapidly since then. We provide a broad range of advice to companies conducting business in, or from, Singapore.

Located in the economic, geographic, information, and financial hub of the Southeast and South Asian region, our Singapore Office is ideally situated to offer legal services both to clients from the region seeking business opportunities in Japan as well as Japanese companies expanding their businesses in Southeast and South Asia.

While providing seamless support for our clients in cooperation with leading law firms in the region, our Singapore Office is a gateway to Japan for non-Japanese clients. We provide on-the-ground Japanese law advice in Singapore as part of an integrated team with our lawyers in our Tokyo Office. Our Singapore Office has a multinational team of lawyers qualified in Japan, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the United States, and England and Wales.

Our lawyers in Singapore are experienced in transactions in Japan and throughout Asia in a wide variety of areas, including joint ventures and M&A, infrastructure, real estate, project finance, wealth management, capital markets, and dispute resolution.

In Singapore, we strive to be an indispensable partner both for Japanese clients in the region and non-Japanese clients doing business and engaging in transactions in Japan. We are able to take advantage of our location to provide on the ground service for our clients throughout the region.

Two of our lawyers are admitted to appear before the newly established Singapore International Commercial Court.
